Fluke has released a Solar Tools Kit, ideal for the solar worker. The kit contains a 324 Clamp Meter, an irradiance meter and test leads.

The rugged basic True-RMS clamp meter can measure AC current up to 400A and AC/DC voltage to 600V. The included MC4 test leads are designed for use with solar clamp meters that accept 4mm banana plugs, rated to CAT III 1,000V/CAT IV 600V.

The 324 True-RMS Clamp Meter is ideal for solar installation technicians working on residential or light commercial systems. Electricians can also safely connect the MC4 test leads to the clamp meter to validate voltage and current from individual panels or a series of panels in a PV array.

Additionally, sparkies can use the IRR1-SOL to obtain the amount of solar irradiance necessary to calculate the IV curve of the power output as well as validate that the panel or string of panels is outputting the correct voltage.
