necaThe first delegate for NECA’s 2016 Industry Conference in South Africa has been registered following the announcement of prize winners from the 2015 Market Monitor draw in Canberra.

Grahame True of NSW, was the lucky winner of the 2015 Market Monitor’s main prize which was drawn at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) offices by ACCI’s Director of Economics & Policy, John Osborn (standing in for CEO, Kate Carnell), assisted by CEO National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) Suresh Manickam, and NECA’s National Marketing and Communications Manager Barry Jackson.

Grahame wins a return flight to South Africa and a complimentary registration at the industry conference taking place in Stellenbosch, South Africa, 17-21 April 2016.  He went into the draw by completing the online 2015 Market Monitor industry survey.

Second prize, a complimentary conference registration, was won by Jim McDermott of NSW, and the third prize, a complimentary partner registration, was won by Ian Mayberry of Queensland.  Further runner-up prizes for contractors and apprentices were also drawn.

“This year’s Market Monitor result will be very informative for the industry,” says NECA CEO Suresh Manickam.  “This was the first year the study was competed entirely online and made available to electrical contractors, their employees and apprentices.”

“The volume and quality of data is outstanding, and the findings will help us to develop the agenda for South Africa,” he added.

More than 1,500 industry professionals completed the online survey and the findings will be released at the end of June.  NECA acknowledges, and thanks, our industry sponsors who made the 2015 survey possible: BGW, Clipsal Schneider, Gerard Lighting, Hager, HPMLegrand, L&H, MMEM, NHP, Philips, Rexel and 3M.
