Fire Protection Australia (FPA) has announced the Fire Australia 2018 Conference and Tradeshow will build off the success of recent seminars addressing fire protection of service penetrations, with a conference program featuring numerous speakers on passive fire protection.

Fire Australia 2018, which is taking place on 1-3 May at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC,  will also continue the tradition of providing a forum for comprehensive, informative presentations, workshops and panel sessions on a range of specialised fire safety and protection topics. Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • The next generation fire suppression technology for protecting data centres and critical assets;
  • Li-ion batteries and dangerous chemical cargoes – fires, explosions and investigations;
  • Eliminating false alarms; and
  • Gaseous fire suppression agents; quality and considerations

Fire Australia 2018 is tailored for a wide variety of audiences working within fire safety and protection, construction, property management and related industries. It will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore new ways of working, stimulate discussion, support professional development and generate unparalleled networking opportunities.
