Profinet is the most widespread industrial Ethernet communication system in the world. Thanks to Profinet technology, even large amounts of data can be transmitted at up to 100Mbit/s on the basis of the Ethernet protocol.

The cables are often used in combination with an RJ45 connector in machine tools, packaging technology or in the filed of handling.

While many machine and plant operators already rely on ready-to-connect readychain energy chain systems, the Profinet cables are idea for the filed right form the drum. Making work in the field easier, the FastConnect technology is highly flexible and ensure that the new CF898.061.FC can be stripped and fitted with a connector in just a few steps.

“With the new Profinet cable, we can offer users a highly flexible cable solution that is quick to assemble and at the same time has a long service life in moving applications,” igus head of product management, chainflex cables Andreas Muckes explains.

Like all igus products, the CF898.061.FC is also tested in the company’s own 3,800m² test laboratory.

“Real tests in real applications are important to us, because only in this way can we reliably prove and promise our chainflex service life guarantee of up to 36 months.”
