The new range of fire rated cable ladders has been designed with an emphasis on providing project managers with a faster to install and more cost effective cable management solution for sites requiring AS3013:2005 conformance.

The new cable ladder range was designed by EzyStrut’s in house engineering division in Adelaide, with all specifications independently tested by NATA accredited facilities.

“With this type of product, you have to have everything verified and tested by a respected independent body,” general manager Chris Hartwig says.

“Particularly as we are emphasising that our products can support more cables over extended spans when compared to the other offerings on the market, and that we now have the largest line up of AS3013:2005 fire rated cable supports.”

One major benefit of the new range is that the longer support spans mean that the cable ladder itself does not have to be supported at as many points. The end result of this is that less materials and labour to install are required which lowers overall cost for the project.

With the updated 6m long fire rated cable ladders, over support spans of 1.5m, EzyStrut can offer support for 50kg per metre with the NEMA 2 ladder, 60kg per metre with the NEMA 3 ladder, and 70 Kg per metre with the NEMA 20C. “

“We are unique as we offer the 1.5m spans for supporting these masses of cables on 6m long ladders,” says Jethin Thottan, Project Support Manager at EzyStrut.

“With the broadest choice of cabling widths to laying depths, which is important. Often cabling has to work around other design aspects of a construction project, so as we can offer a total of 12 different choices for laying depths to widths on fire rated ladders, the project manager knows with our offering they’ll be able to find a solution to physically fit where required. It is a consideration not always given as much emphasis as needed, and in the industry not having as much choice in a range as ours, could cause obvious problems for the customer.”

EzyStrut has a history of offering new, but also tried and tested options for supporting cables, and their reputation in the area is growing.

“As we offer quite a range, manufactured in Australia with our degree of quality control, we have started to supply more projects overseas, because Specifying Engineers and Project Managers have heard about us and realised that we can supply their site with something that will let them complete faster and at a lower cost but still remain compliant with the relevant standards.”

Reliable Australian manufacturing, compliance to ISO standards and a high degree of quality control has opened up new opportunities in the international market and they have commenced exporting to New Zealand, Malaysia, China, Philippines, Indonesia & UAE. Senior Engineers and Project Managers from various different project around Australia & overseas have recognised EzyStrut’s potential to supply products to a flexible & short lead times based on their supply requirements and of course within budget.
