Emerson Network Power wins Frost & Sullivan Leadership Award in Asia Pacific
Frost & Sullivan’s Market Share Leadership is presented to the company that has demonstrated excellence in capturing the highest market share in its industry. Emerson Network Power was benchmarked against its major competitors based on a number of different criteria, including market share, growth strategy and product innovation.
Commenting on the award, Amit Kumar Singh, analyst for Energy and Power Systems Practice, Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific said, “Emerson Network Power has been able to retain its market leadership position in the Asia Pacific Data Centre Cooling solution market in 2011 for the second year in a row, a feat which is commendable in a market that is efficiency driven and highly diverse in nature. Emerson Network Power’s ability to deliver a strong value proposition — “Efficiency without Compromise” through world-class cooling products and a vast network of sales and service centres across Asia Pacific, have enabled the company to create a strong differentiation from its competitors and capture the maximum market share in the region.”

“For the past decade, Emerson Network Power has recognized the crucial role Asia plays in the global market and invested in developing local R&D, engineering and manufacturing capabilities”, said Stephen Liang, president of Emerson Network Power Asia Pacific. “For cooling and across our full portfolio, this means we now collaborate across the world, but have the ability to uniquely deliver customized solutions that best fit the needs to local conditions while leveraging our global best technologies and processes.”
Anand Sanghi, president of Emerson Network Power Asia, supported this by identifying three key drivers to Emerson Network Power’s continued ability to deliver customer value.
“We have a proud heritage in this market, going back to Ralph Liebert’s first precision cooling device for IBM in 1965, which continues to inform our focus on customer satisfaction through innovation and product excellence” said Sanghi. “For the past 40 years we have actively serviced Asia Pacific and know this market intimately and can support customers anywhere. Lastly but most importantly, Emerson Network Power offers customers the opportunity to optimize and manage data centre heat loads through an integrated data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) ecosystem rather than by cooling alone.”
“With the launch of the Trellis TM platform, we are actively integrating IT and supporting infrastructure through this comprehensive approach to DCIM. This is a powerful driver for customers wanting to deliver sustained competitive advantage for their own businesses, drive down their operating expenses and maintain the highest levels of availability and efficiency.”
In the last two years Emerson Network Power released several complementary cooling solutions that targeted individual racks, rows and data centre rooms. With its integrated solution set, Emerson Network Power extends cooling optimization to the facility and to the WAN. At the product level, Emerson Network Power has introduced numerous efficiency measures through SmartAisleTM technology, Liebert CRV, Liebert PCW as well as at the component level via ultrasonic and infrared humidifiers, electronic expansion valves, optimization of compressor utilization (airside economizers), and digital scroll technology.
