These power MOSFETs significantly reduce switching and conduction losses and enable higher power density and efficiency. Many are optimised for hard switching topologies, and are suited for applications in solar, server, telecom and UPS.

Infineon Technologies product segment head of high voltage power conversion Jan-Willem Reynaerts says, “Pioneered by Infineon, CoolMOS is a technology for high-voltage power MOSFETs designed according to the superjunction principle. It enables an unprecedented combination of improved power density as well as efficiency needed for designing next-generation power conversion systems. Customers can easily access a comprehensive range of Infineon solutions at element14, together with local customer service and technical support.”

The C7 series, suited for applications in computing, server, telecom, UPS and solar, feature:
• improved safety margin; suitable for both SMPS and solar inverter applications
• lowest conduction losses/package
• low switching losses
• improved light load efficiency
• space saving through the use of smaller packages or reduction of parts

The P6 Series, suited for applications in PC silverbox, adapter, TV, lighting, server, telecom and UPS, feature:
• optimised integrated Rg
• improved dv/dt
• outstanding performance levels in hard and soft-switching topologies
• low conduction and switching losses

element14 Asia-Pacific head of product and asset management Marc Grange says, “We are happy to offer these high voltage power MOSFETs from Infineon’s leading range for high-end power conversion. It provides all the benefits of fast switching superjunction MOSFETs, and will benefit customers who require higher system efficiency and increased power density solutions.”
