Power management company, Eaton, has launched the 5E UPS, a new range of power protection products designed for workstations, business telephony, routers and point-of-sale equipment.

Made for the Australian and New Zealand markets with country specific outlets, the 5E provides effective power protection even in disturbed electrical environments. Voltage fluctuations are automatically corrected using an AVR device (booster & fader) without requiring the batteries. This directly equates to longer battery service life and lower cost of ongoing maintenance.

Ready for use functionality is accentuated by the device’s permanent battery charging even if the UPS is turned at the on/off button. The 5E can also be used as a portable AC power source thanks to its cold start feature.

Additional key features include:

A compact form factor which allows the 5E to be easily integrated into environments with space constraints.

A HID-compliant USB port which provides for automatic integration with common operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The 5E is also compatible with Eaton UPS Companion power management software.

650 and 850VA models have no fan and as a result are perfect for deployment at an operator’s workstation where fan noise can be an issue.

5E is fully compliant & certified to AS/NZS safety and EMC standards.

The 5E is available in five models ranging from 650VA/360W too 2000VA/1200W.
