Pure sinewave output. When operating in battery mode, the 5P UPS provides a high quality output signal for any sensitive equipment connected, such as active power factor corrected servers.
Individually controlled outlets maximise backup time, provide remote reboot and sequential start-up.
Hot swappable batteries allow easy replacement of the batteries without powering down connected loads. Eaton’s ABM battery management technology uses a three-stage charging technique that only recharges the battery when necessary, so the battery experiences less corrosion and service life is prolonged by up to 50%.
High density power protection in tower and rack 1U format up to 1.5kVA.
Power management capabilities, including USB and Serial ports and a slot for optional SNMP/web card.
Load segment control also enables prioritised shutdowns of non-essential equipment to maximise battery runtime for critical devices. Load segment control can also be used to remotely reboot locked-up network equipment to manage scheduled shutdowns and sequential start-ups.
The 5P UPS can be configured in a rackmount or tower form factor catering for varied deployment applications.
“The new 5P UPS delivers organisations superior manageability and energy metering capabilities and is ideal for protecting servers, switches, routers and storage devices,” says Eaton power quality marketing manager Asia Pacific Michael Mallia.
“In addition, when paired with the Eaton Intelligent Power Management Suite, the 5P UPS allows users to seamlessly manage their connected equipment, even in virtualised environments.”
Eaton recently announced the latest version of its Intelligent Power Manager software with NetApp Data ONTAP operating system integration. The software now allows users to monitor and manage NetApp fabric-attached storage (FAS) systems and facilitates a graceful shutdown to protect data integrity in the event of an extended power outage.
The Eaton 5P UPS is available from Eaton’s network of distributors including Altech Computers, Avnet Technology, Bluechip Infotech, BMS Technology, Computer Room Solutions, Dicker Data, Delta Electronics, Fusion Power Systems, Power On Australia and Synnex Australia.
