Digi International launches Digi TransPort WR11 XT LTE router
Digi International, (NASDAQ: DGII,), a leading global provider of mission-critical machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT connectivity products and services, have released the Digi TransPort WR11 XT, a temperature hardened cellular router that provides a secure and reliable LTE connection for industrial and retail applications in harsh environments. The Digi TransPort WR11 XT was developed to expand the use of the highly successful commercial-grade WR11 cellular router into industrial control and remote monitoring applications in outdoor conditions.
The WR11 XT builds upon the capabilities of the WR11 including global cellular carrier certifications, license-free enterprise software, PCI-ready security features, small form factor, dual SIM capabilities, and advanced network management through Digi Remote Manager. The new version features a ruggedised aluminum enclosure and DIN-rail form factor, an increased operating temperature range (-30° C to +70° C), flanges for shelf or wall mounting and a screw-down SIM cover. With the WR11 XT, network engineering and administration teams can extend their network reach while increasing uptime and reducing costs associated with disconnected industrial machines and retail terminals.
“The success of the WR11 combined with our customers’ call for expanded deployment possibilities made the development of a ruggedised version of our value-based cellular router a natural extension of our product line,” said product marketing manager at Digi InternationalAndrew Lund. “Now, our customers and partners can deliver reliable cellular data networking in these environments at a highly affordable price point.”
