Available with power ratings of 2.8 and 5.0kW, the Xantrex residential range of gridtie inverters are high performance inverters that offer high power conversion efficiency, low installation cost, improved aesthetics and superior reliability. The Xantrex inverters feature a wide Maximum Power Point.
Tracking (MPPT) window and operate up to 600V DC. They are compatible with all types of solar panels, including floating, positive and negative grounded types. The Xantrex range of inverters feature conventional fanless cooling and are designed to operate up to an ambient temperature of 40oC, with full power output and before derating.
The Xantrex range of inverters feature an onboard LCD screen that displays instantaneous power output, daily power output and accumulated power output, as well as instantaneous array voltage and current. Alternatively, an optional system control panel is available for remote reading of the inverter outputs. The system control panel can be used to monitor single or multiple inverters on the PV system and
connects to the inverter on the Xanbus communications network.
Conext TL Series commercial grid-tie inverters
The new Conext TL 15kW and 20kW three-phase (transformer-less, grid-tie) solar inverters are IP65 rated and suited for indoor and outdoor use. They are the ideal solution for small commercial building rooftops and
other applications.
The inverters provide a wide MPPT voltage range of 350 to 800V DC and a maximum operating voltage of 1000V DC, resulting in high design flexibility. In addition, the inverters feature an EU efficiency of 97.3%, for maximum power throughput and conversion efficiency. The Conext inverters feature a userprogrammable power factor in the range -0.85 to +0.85, that allows the installer to balance the power supply at the premises to near unity, and improve energy use at that site.

XW Series hybrid inverter/chargers
The XW Series hybrid inverter/charger is a true sine wave inverter/charger that can be used for residential and commercial applications: stand-alone, grid-backup and grid-tie with battery energy storage. Capable of being grid-interactive or gridindependent, the inverter/charger will operate with generators and renewable energy sources to provide full-time or backup power.
Available with power ratings of 4.0, 4.5 and 6.0kW the hybrid inverter/charger is suitable for 24 and 48V DC battery banks. The inverters/chargers feature a high surge current rating of 2 x output for 15 seconds, in case of high start-up currents from motors and heavy loads. Complementary products include a system control panel featuring a graphical, backlit LCD display that provides system configuration and diagnostic information for devices connected to the Xanbus communication network.
For connection to a generator, an auto generator start (AGS) module is available. The AGS will automatically activate a generator to provide a hybrid inverter/charger with power to recharge a depleted battery bank, or provide additional power for heavy loads. It does this by continuously monitoring the battery voltage, stateof-charge or the inverter charge mode; starting and stopping the generator when the battery needs additional charging, thereby eliminating manual monitoring. The AGS will also start the generator to assist the system’s inverter/charger when output power demands are high.
XW Series solar charge controllers
The photovoltaic charge controllers track the maximum power point of a PV array to deliver the maximum available current for optimum charging of batteries.
The high input voltage operating range of 600V DC, allows a high-voltage and lowcurrent PV array to be connected to the charge controller. A one or two string highvoltage PV array configuration can eliminate the need for a combiner box. And the associated DC circuit breakers use lighter gauge wire for array wiring.
This simplified array configuration can reduce hardware costs, as well as installation labour costs. It also allows for long home-run wiring, with minimal power loss. The Fast SweepTM MPPT algorithm frequently conducts a very fast sweep of the full operational array voltage window to dynamically determine the array’s maximum power point. This feature helps deliver consistently high energy harvest for the system, including when the array is partially shaded. Both charge controllers can be installed (in single or multi-unit configurations) with a XW hybrid inverter/charger, or as a stand-alone battery charger.
