Clipsal releases the MAX9, the ultimate in circuit protection

Clipsal has released the MAX9 range of circuit protection that raises the bar in terms of installation speed and performance.

With MAXBAR, the next generation of busbars, the new range can achieve a 15-times faster installation speed than using cables for feeding RCBOs. Additionally, It helps electricians complete installation flexibility as a MAXBAR can connect the main switch directly to any type of Clipsal RCBO – SLIM, two modules, three-phase and even AFDD.

“Others see electricians as tradies only, we see them as professional artists when it comes to switchboard installation. Therefore, we understand the importance of a professional finish inside a switchboard – it separates the experts from the cowboys. MAXBAR helps to achieve a perfectly clean installation inside a switchboard as no cables are needed for feeding RCBOs,” Clipsal writes.

Amendment 2 to the AS/NZS 3000:2018 (Wiring rules) mandate type A RCDs from 2023. All RCBOs and RCDs in MAX9 range are already type A so that you can be future ready. On top of that MAX9 system comes type tested as per the requirements of AS/NZS 61439-3 to provide additional peace of mind.

MAX9 products are designed for tough Aussie conditions with operating temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C with derating. When it comes to circuit protection, it all comes down to what’s on the inside. MAX9 breakers are solidly built and designed to endure 20K mechanical cycles and 10K electrical cycles (except for RCCBs).

It’s a no-brainer then to stand behind this robust product range and provide a manufacturer’s warranty of 7 years for MAX9 system.
