Clip 2Clipsal by Schneider Electric has launched a new home electrical planning web tool that  educatates consumers about Clipsal products before they need to call an electrician or builder.

The Clipsal Wishlist tool operates on a laptop, tablet or computer and showcases all Clipsal light switch solutions and electrical accessories in the context of the consumers own home.

Consumers can use a pre-loaded room template, upload or draw their own home plans and use the tool to select and position Clipsal products into each room.

The tool also showcases the cost of each product which allows consumers to track their budget and get an idea of their financial restrictions before contacting a contractor.

“Clipsal Wishlist is one of the many new tools that we have invested in to make the process of electrical planning, installing and selling easier for the contractor and the consumer,” said vice president Clipsal and Schneider Electric partner business David Gardner.

“With growing competition from online and social retail channels, it has never been more important for the wholesalers and electrical contractor to remain relevant to their customers.

Tools like Clipsal Wishlist allow the contractor to have a better understanding of what their customers want and need, which is a clear advantage when it comes to selling and upselling accordingly.”

The Wishlist tool also allows consumers to download and share their home electrical plans directly with a contractor, builder or wholesaler, or email the plan directly to a registered Club Clipsal Residential Contractor in their local area.

“By linking to a database of Club Clipsal Residential Contractors, the Wishlist tool also promotes the fact that electrical and building contractors are the experts in the electrical accessory space and need to be the first point of call when it comes to any electrical home makeover,” said David Gardner.

“In this way, the tool not only drives demand from consumers by showcasing the many options that Clipsal products can offer, but supports the role of everyone involved in the sales process, ensuring the channel remains strong.”
