CABAC releases RCD testers for accurate and compliant electrical safety testing
CABAC has released a range of Residual Current Device (RCD) testers designed to help verify the safety and compliance of electrical installations across residential, commercial and industrial environments.
To support compliance and accurate testing, CABAC’s testers enable professionals to perform essential trip time and trip current measurements, ensuring RCDs operate within the required limits. Australian standards require most RCDs to trip within 300ms, making precise testing equipment essential for confirming protection performance.

The CABAC T2712EL Digital RCD Tester has been released as a compact solution for testing single-phase RCDs. It provides digital trip time measurement, leakage current testing across multiple ranges and phase angle testing to ensure reliable operation under different conditions. Polarity indicators and generator compatibility further expand its use across residential, commercial and portable electrical applications.
For more complex installations, CABAC has also released the TEL11 Three-Phase RCD Tester, designed to test both single and three-phase RCDs in industrial and commercial environments. With an operating range from 100V to 550V, the TEL11 supports accurate compliance testing for heavy machinery, distribution systems and fixed electrical infrastructure. It also includes phase sequence indication, assisting technicians during commissioning and maintenance.
The testers also allow professionals to verify RCD performance in circuits supported by uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, where electrical conditions can differ during backup operation. This capability helps ensure safety protection remains effective even during power interruptions.
