Apprentices secure their dream job
SkillsTech Australia business manager of electrical engineering Mal Garrick says the three apprentices were the first to graduate from this new program for an emerging industry.
“The electronic security sector is a rapidly growing industry and this course is designed specifically to combat the skills shortages in this hi-technology sector,” Mal says.

“As we move forwards in technological advances the demand for tighter security technology will increase and this TAFE institute is the first to offer such a course in this growing industry.
“We offer our congratulations to Martin Stone from Pride Security, Dan Maxwell of Sunstate Security and Ryhs Hadley of Ruswin Integrated Security for completing the Certificate III in Security Equipment.
“This course was delivered collaboratively by the Communication Data and Security Technology teams at SkillsTech Australia’s Eagle Farm and Bracken Ridge training centres.
“This is a positive development for apprentices specifically wanting to enrol directly into a security focused apprenticeship and we are confident this course will have a high demand as this industry expands in the near future.”
