DNP3 has long been a feature at electric utility substations and in more recent years, has been embraced by the water and wastewater industry for RTU applications.
The programmable logic controllers come with all three-end point type support which includes listening, dual and datagram only. Additionally, it has live event capabilities and automatically logs events during communication outages.
In addition to DNP3, the controller boasts 14 digital input points (24V AC/DC), ten digital output points (24V DC source and relay options) and supports a maximum of three plug-in slots.
