All-new LYNK system by Ektor, future-proofing the industry
Engineers of the new LYNK system by Ektor have taken on the challenge of creating an entirely new platform to future-proof the electrical industry with cross-brand inclusion at the forefront of design.
While at first, it may be seen as counterproductive from a lighting manufacture perspective where typically locked systems are the norm and financially viable, it’s not always the case.

Evolt chief executive Josh Newell says the company’s goal has always been to help businesses by providing access to future-driven technology.
“We understand the pressures that closed systems place on our users and we couldn’t ethically move forward with a platform that limited the very people we were trying to help,” he says.
With the new LYNK solution, electrical professionals can now experience the freedom of product choice with endless open-access possibilities as well as proven and tested security practices on boarding communications through 6LowPAN over IPv6. Additionally, integration of IEC62386-104 allows DALI standards to be transported over industry-leading Thread technology.
LYNK engineers also sort to improve on all aspects of emergency lighting systems, launching what will become the next frontier in multi-site integration, delivering the power to create, manage and edit user access across all levels. This provides access to accurate, individualised testing, reporting and monitoring at a glance.
The company is aiming to change the emergency smart system landscape, just as Ethernet and WiFi did to the IT era. Removing the shackles of wired systems and replacing it with cross-compatible, standards-driven, wireless meshing, combined with advanced multi-site and multi-user accessibility.
