S-5! has launched a Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) training course for solar installers, along with a 2026 national roadshow series in partnership with Solar Cutters.

The training is designed to give installers practical knowledge on metal roofs as a solar platform, including best practices for attachment, roof integrity, safety and long-term system performance.

“Metal roofs represent a major opportunity for the solar industry, but installers need the right technical understanding to maximise performance while preserving roof integrity,” S-5! director, APAC & MENA, Donnie Gregory says.

“Our new Metal Roofing & Solar 101 course is designed to give installers practical, relevant guidance they can use immediately in the field, while also helping them meet their CPD requirements.”

In addition to the online course, S-5! will run a national roadshow aimed at education, networking and hands-on engagement with installers. Several events will be hosted in partnership with Solar Cutters, a community of solar professionals focused on quality, safety and industry collaboration.

“These roadshows are about getting in front of installers, contractors and industry partners to share knowledge, answer questions and help the market better understand the benefits of rail-less, direct-attach solutions for metal roofs,” Donnie says.

“We’re excited to work alongside Solar Cutters and other partners to support installer education in a way that is practical, local and relevant.”
