CBi has released the Advantage Astra range of multipurpose distribution boards for residential and light commercial installations.

The distribution board is available in 160A and 250A rated versions, with the 250A model featuring a lockable main switch. It is designed for use with CBi DIN and chassis mount SFR MCB and RCBO ranges, including SE3, SE4, SE9 and SM9 devices.

The enclosure includes 16-pole DIN knockouts to accommodate ancillary equipment and features a left-hinged door that can be converted in the field to right-hinged if required. The door opens to 180° and is fitted with concealed hinge pins and a key-lockable swing handle using a CL001 key barrel.

For installation flexibility, the distribution board is supplied with removable mild steel gland plates at both the top and bottom, along with four rear mounting holes. It also incorporates a lift-off escutcheon and an A4-sized circuit schedule holder.

The unit complies with AS/NZS 61439.3 and provides an IP40 degree of protection. It is impact test certified to IK10 and is fitted with a CBi ESE EMS range 250A, 20kA, 0.2-second type-tested busbar system.

Constructed from robust 1.2mm mild steel, the enclosure has a depth of 152mm, including the door and 144mm excluding the door. It is finished in a powder-coated RAL 7035 light grey coating, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and light commercial environments.
