Schneider Electric has launched its Schneider Boost Pro battery energy storage solution, designed to help commercial and industrial sites cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions and maintain operational reliability.

The system is suitable for depot environments supporting heavy-duty vehicle charging, such as buses and trucks, and can be integrated into transit infrastructure where reliable, high-capacity charging is essential.

Boost Pro is scalable from 200kWh to 2MWh by combining up to ten units and forms part of Schneider Electric’s broader energy optimisation platform, which includes power distribution, EV chargers, edge control, software and services.

Schneider Boost Pro offers multiple use cases tailored to modern energy needs. It can store surplus renewable energy for self-consumption, balance power across sites during peak demand and provide reliable backup power during outages.

It also enables tariff management by charging during off-peak periods and discharging at peak times and can respond to transmission system operator signals to generate revenue while supporting grid stability.

Key features include AI-driven insights via EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor, which forecasts weather, production and demand to optimise energy decisions, certified cybersecurity to protect communications and data and expert installation, maintenance and remote support to ensure maximum uptime.

“With increased renewable integration and electrification, smart storage solutions like Boost Pro are essential,” Schneider Electric senior vice president and head of emobility Jean-Baptiste Hazard says.

“By 2030, commercial and industrial buildings will face up to 35% higher electricity demand due to EV charging infrastructure, and Boost Pro helps businesses balance this demand, reduce pressure on the grid and operate more efficiently and sustainably.”

Schneider Boost Pro enables businesses to reshape their energy strategies, combining reliability, efficiency and sustainability in the evolving energy landscape.
