LCA celebrates Excellence Awards 2025
The Lighting Council Australia (LCA) celebrated outstanding innovation and achievement at the 2025 Lighting Industry Excellence Awards, held on 9 October at W Sydney. The annual ceremony recognised breakthrough developments in smart lighting technology, sustainability initiatives and transformative projects that are reshaping Australia’s lighting landscape.
Schreder Australia secured multiple awards, with its NIGHTSTAR smart luminaire winning Best Smart Luminaire, and also claimed the Major Lighting Project Award for its Ausgrid Connected Streetlighting Project.

Lumitex’s FastFit XTL15 Tunnel Retrofit Module won Best Commercial/Industrial Product and the FastFit ZTL20 secured the Most Innovative Product award for its approach to retrofitting legacy 400W HPS lamp enclosures.
Novon Lighting won the Company Sustainability Award for its environmental approach, including Australian-made products using recycled materials, onsite energy and nitrogen production, closed loop systems and AI-driven manufacturing that halves sheet metal waste.
LEDTEC was named Best Small Business for its commitment to quality and market expansion across mining, industrial and commercial sectors.
Zencontrol’s Smart Lighting System was named the Best Lighting Control System for its open standards-based lighting control platform designed for energy efficiency, flexibility and compliance across modern buildings.
Ark Lighting won the Lighting Project Under $1 Million category for their work on the Meat & Wine Co., Safari project, while Alex Huang from Highlux received the Young Achievers Award for his contributions to solar lighting innovation.
Patrick Rident-Tiercelet from Eye Lighting was recognised with the Contribution to Industry and Standards Award for his dedication to advancing industry standards over more than a decade.
LCA chair, Tony Todaro, presented Russell Loane with the Lifetime Achievement award for his tireless efforts over many years, being instrumental in setting up Lighting Council Australia and laying the foundation for generations of success.
