Australian/New Zealand-based company Ecoglo International has achieved CodeMark certification for its hybrid photoluminescent (PL) exit signs, as well as secured official patent protection for its locally preferred designs.

Ecoglo’s design integrates LED lighting with pl elements to ensure continuous visibility in buildings, even during power outages. The patented technology enhances reliability by eliminating the need for electrolytic capacitors, reducing energy consumption and extending product lifespan.

“We are incredibly thrilled to have received both CodeMark certification, as well as patent protection for our hybrid photoluminescent exit signs,” Ecoglo International executive director and Photoluminescent Lighting Council director, Trevor Dimond, says.

“Our loyal customers include major commercial, entertainment, sporting and industrial facilities, whose facility managers and owners value the safety, slimline simplicity and low maintenance of our state-of-the-art photoluminescent units. They all appreciate the convenience of avoiding recurring, time-consuming battery checks and costly replacements.”

Ecoglo’s digital and finance business manager, Callum Rae, says the hybrid PL exit signs have been installed throughout Australasia in prominent progressive facilities. This includes the likes of Qudos Bank Arena, the University of Auckland and Christchurch Hospital.

“It’s been a great start to the year for Ecoglo, capitalising on many years of cutting-edge local research and the world’s best practice. We invite facility managers, property managers, architects and engineers to explore how photoluminescent exit signage products can enhance their assets,” he says.
