JOLT has launched the 50kW DC EV charger to offer drivers double the charging speed of existing units and deliver 7kWh of free power per day for users via the JOLT app.

The chargers can deliver up to 45km of range in 8-10 minutes and features a ‘flagpole’ design. It integrates advanced cable management with a 5m reach which is 25% longer than standard chargers.

An adjustable cable holster allows the plug height to be tailored to site conditions to support accessibility and inclusive designs. The charger also includes base skirt lighting for enhanced visibility and safer charging at night.

“The new 50kW chargers represent the next step in our mission to enhance global EV ownership and charging experiences for users through innovation, premium design and performance,” JOLT chief executive Doug McNamee says.

“The chargers’ unique look and feel are the result of specific insights into visual impact and city infrastructure, which showed the need for our charging network to continue to combine aesthetics with function, while also meeting the highest standards of durability, safety and tech compatibility.”

The first charging unit is installed in Melbourne’s Bayside City Council with additional locations across Australia launching in the next few months.
