Optical absorption and electrical optimisation techniques are to reduce the levelised cost of energy up to 4.3%. The wafer has a superior minority carrier lifetime, ultra-low oxygen content of 3ppma and offers improves resistivity uniformity.
The Bycium+ 5.0 cell features optimised light absorption, an open-circuit voltage of 749mV and n-type passivated contact technology. The module has PII, HDP, UTG and CSE technologies to ensure durability and reliability in extreme conditions. It also boasts superior performance in low light environments and complex weather conditions to ensue stable energy output across diver applications.
“At JA Solar, innovation is at the core of our mission to accelerate the global transition to clean energy,” JA Solar executive president Aiqing Yang says.
“The DeepBlue 5.0 represents our commitment to delivering products that combine exceptional performance, cost efficiency and reliability, empowering our customers to achieve their sustainability goals.”
The DeepBlue 5.0 modules are scheduled for mass production in Q4 2025 with power ratings from 640W to 670W.
