Ohme has released its residential EV smart charging technology to drivers in Australia.

Building on its success in the UK and Ireland, Ohme is delivering the ePod to enable Australian EV drivers to charge smarter, greener and cheaper at home thanks to its dynamic integration.

“We’re pleased to be able to introduce the ePod to EV drivers in Australia and looking forward to bringing Ohme’s renowned low cost and low CO2 flexible charging capability to Australian EV drivers at a highly competitive price,” Ohme Australia head of sales Reece Davis says.

As sales of EVs in Australia enjoyed a rise of 46% in the first quarter of this year compared to 2023, the Ohme ePod’s combination of API integration for EVs, solar compatibility, flexibility with all low-rate tariffs and built-in load balancing will appeal to those moving to an electric vehicle for the first time.

With WiFi connectivity, the ePod has been developed by Ohme specifically for the Australian market. Ohme’s dynamic smart charging technology can connect with the national grid in real time to automatically adjust its charging allowing Ohme customers to take full advantage of off-peak tariffs.
