Energy Safe has charged lift companies Nordic Elevators and Nordic Elevators Services and their directors under the Electricity Safety Act 1998 for offences relating to the death of a fourth-year apprentice electrician working unsupervised on a car lift.

It is alleged the 21-year-old apprentice died in March 2021, after meeting an energised piece of electrical equipment in a West Melbourne apartment block.
