Treotham’s versatile new e-spool

The new igus e-spool standard from Treotham offers an energy supply for different application scenarios – big or small, and in all directions.

The compact, spring-driven system can safely guide energy, media or fibre optic data cables and, thanks to optimised design, the e-spool can extend cables and hoses up to 21 metres without the need for a motor.

The e-spool carries not only energy but also media, data, compressed air and liquids. Rotational movements are made possible by the inclusion of an igus twisterband which makes movement in every direction possible.

With no need for expensive slip rings, the most diverse cables can be continuously connected in a confined space, and replaced or added at any time.

The new e-spool evolved from customer requirements and experience of recent years. It covers the gap between the spring-driven standard e-spool for up to 14 metres extension length, and the motorised e-spool for larger projects such as offshore facilities or opera houses.
