Gossen has released new the Metrawatt Profitest H+E charging station tester.

The tester is relevant for slow or fast charging mode 3 chargers, and has a multi-pin socket with control and protection functions in accordance with SAE J1772 and IEC 62196.

The instrument allows a full diagnosis of electric charging stations with tests including vehicle status, cable condition, error states, PWM signal evaluation, phase and phase sequence, RCD test and tripping time, vehicle error simulation (short-circuiting of the diode, short circuit between control pilot and protective earth).

Charger and simulated vehicle states are portrayed graphically for easy interpretation. The Gossen Metrawatt Profitest H+E is battery powered, and allows for outdoor use.
