The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) has announced that nominations are open for another month for the Trade Teacher Awards.

The new closing date for nominations is 31 August 2017. Selection criteria and nomination forms are available at www.neca.asn.au.

Now in its tenth year, the Trade Teacher Awards recognise and reward successful and passionate trade teachers for their excellence and commitment to developing talent within the electrical industry.

Nominated teachers must have demonstrated their commitment to excellence in trade teaching and will be judged on the following criteria:

• Excellence in teaching
• Innovative practice
• Client satisfaction of both learners and employers

This year, the winning teacher will receive $5,000 to go towards his/her nominated institution to assist in skills development across the industry. They will also be recognised by the industry at an Awards presentation in Sydney on 23 November.
