NHP make a difference through community partnerships
NHP has announced a partnership with Southern Cross Kids’ Camps (SCKC), a local not-for-profit organisation.
NHP’s support will help SCKC in running a network of camps for disadvantaged kids aged 7-11 who have been victims of abuse, domestic violence and neglect.
“This affiliation is one we are very proud of and as part of our overall community engagement commitment we are in a position to give back to the community with a charitable organisation whose guiding principles align closely with our own,” says NHP chief marketing officer Geoff Thorp.

SCKC’s carefully organised camps give underprivileged children positivity, a sense of stability and a happy experience. Activities conducted at the camps are fun but also provide educational lessons, guidance and life skills.
“At Southern Cross Kids’ Camps, we provide a week of happy memories for kids who have been subjected to abuse and neglect. We really appreciate NHP’s commendable generosity to not only us but supporting causes that benefit the broader community, with no direct benefit to themselves. It empowers us to do what we do best and that is serve the kids in our community who are most in need,” SCKC’s general manager Peter Lusk.
This October, in support of SCKC and its 10-year anniversary, NHP will be major sponsors of the 2017 ‘Out of the Rough’ golf day, which is being held at the Huntingdale Golf Club, in an effort to raise funds for SCKC to continue.
