Legrand gears up for Australian Healthcare Week
Today’s technological advances offer exciting opportunities for health and aged care, allowing for new models, innovations and ideas to be made possible. If you want to know the latest technologies and trends that are taking health and aged care by storm, it will be at Australian Healthcare Week.
Held over two main days in Sydney’s International Convention Centre from 8-9 March, Australian Healthcare Week is a rapidly growing one-stop-shop event that addresses healthcare infrastructure design and development, ICT and aged care provision.
Legrand has acquired a number of leading aged-cared solutions providers in recent years and consolidated their offerings into a cohesive and comprehensive portfolio; from products to promote independent living, through to solutions designed for nursing-home environments.

At this year’s Australian Healthcare Week, Legrand will showcase key products which are at the forefront of generating transformational change in health and aged care technologies. These ranges include:
- COMO: Contemporary and distinctive wiring accessories that are easy to see and use. The range includes sensor-activated switches for those with limited hand flexibility, and skirting lights to offer movement-activated ‘light paths’ to improve visibility and prevent falls at night. COMO further includes options for emergency safety lighting integrated with wall switches, which can provide several hours of light during power outages.
- TYNETEC: Modern and stylish design of the home alarm unit, enabling people to live independently for longer. TYNETEC is designed to facilitate a call for help. It will typically be configured to call a hierarchy of family or friends, but in a retirement village environment it can also be programmed to call the facility manager or even a 24/7 monitoring centre.
- NEAT: Made for the nursing home environment, Legrand’s NEAT is a user-friendly and easy to install system, enabling direct communication between patients and healthcare staff. The NEAT system is invaluable in reviewing incident responses and for determining the amount of care each patient has received.
- Excel Life Medical Range: Legrand’s Excel Life Medical Range is one of the most ‘talked about’ ranges, featuring anti-microbial technology. This suite of products encompasses a comprehensive range of innovative wiring devices and accessories specially designed for medical applications.
