A ute-load of new tools and plenty of snacks are up for grabs for Victoria’s safest tradies as the third season of the Top Tradie Cup returns to worksites across Victoria this August.

Kicking off for two weeks from Monday 25 August, the footy-themed quiz from the Victorian WorkCover Authority is bigger and better than ever, with a grand prize of $4,000 of tool vouchers for the end-of-season premiers.

Designed specifically for smartphones, the Top Tradie Cup aims to highlight the importance of workplace safety, encourage tradies to talk about safety on site, and improve construction industry safety practices.

The interactive game has been created for tradies and supervisors in the construction industry, and challenges players to pit their footy knowledge against their mates and competing construction teams, while sparking conversations about workplace safety.

Teams will answer eight questions in each round, with the chance to win prizes from top food retailers at the end of each. As the final siren sounds at the end of the six rounds, the team with the highest number of points on the competition ladder will win the ultimate prize, complete with all-important “Top Tradie 2014” bragging rights.

Registrations are open from 11–24 August. To be eligible for prizes, entrants must have a construction induction card (or equivalent) and work in construction in Victoria.
