Diversified industrial manufacturer, Eaton, has announced the launch of the Eaton 5SC UPS providing line-interactive, affordable and reliable protection for small business servers, including tower servers, NAS and network equipment as well as ATMs, ticket machines and kiosks.

Complimenting Eaton’s range of industry leading UPSs, the 5SC UPS includes an LCD interface for real-time status and measurements.  This feature provides users with the status of key UPS parameters such as input and output voltage, load and battery level, and estimated run time. Configuration capabilities are also offered for output voltage, audible alarm and sensitivity.

The 5SC UPS also features USB, serial and relay connectivity.  The USB port is HID compliant for automatic integration into Windows, Mac OS and Linux.  When operating in battery mode, the 5SC UPS provides a high quality output signal for any sensitive equipment connected, such as active PFC (Power Factor Corrected) servers.

A Buck and Boost operation corrects a wide range of voltage variations through continuous regulation, without the use of batteries, and ensure consistent input voltage to the loads protected.

At the same time, Eaton’s Intelligent Power Protector (IPP) software is delivered as standard and can be used as point to point power management or network-based using IPP as a proxy.

The 5SC UPS features a power rating range of 500 to 1500 VA across four models and operates with factory default output voltage and frequency of 230V/50Hz (user adjustable/autosensing).
