Brightgreen has revealed the second generation of its D900 at DesignEx 2013. The D900 Cube and Curve have been redesigned with new features.

The D900 Cube and Curve feature the Tru-Colour 95CRI: the highest CRI score of any LED on the market.

The trimless D900 Curve v2 blends seamlessly into interiors for a minimalist look. Alternatively, designers can add one of Brightgreen’s new interchangeable fascias to shape the light any way they like and create a splash of colour.

The universal gimballing feature allows the D900 Curve v2 to tilt 30° in any direction, projecting light wherever it’s needed. The D900 Curve v2 is completely airtight to reduce heating or cooling costs and add more stars to house energy ratings. The recessed lens of the D900 Curve v2 produces even less glare than before.

The D900 Cube v2 now dims even lower and features increased optical efficiency and a soft-edged beam for smoother light transitions. It fits perfectly into a 92mm circular cutout and has a new spring mechanism that allows the D900 Cube v2 to snap easily in and out of the ceiling.

The D900 v2 is just the start however.

“Tons of new Brightgreen products are on their way that will open up even more creative possibilities. We’ll be releasing more details on our new website over the coming months” says Brightgreen chief executive and head product designer David O’Driscoll.

The D900 Cube v2 will be available in the next two weeks. The D900 Curve v2 and the fascia range are due for release this spring.
