Clipsal announces commercial marketing alliance with Beacon Lighting
The two brands are working together to offer new home builder and renovator markets with a new combined solution tool to make choosing their electrical accessories and lighting products both simple and easy.
Commencing this week, Beacon Lighting is displaying Clipsal electrical accessories in five of its stores across three states, Gepps Cross and Mile End in SA, Hoppers Crossing, Vic and Joondalup, WA. The display pods comprise of Clipsal’s premium switchplate offering, including Saturn, Metal Plate, Modena and Strato ranges. In addition, Beacon Lighting staff are trained to offer Clipspec consultations to their customers.

Clipspec is a specification programme purposefully designed for the new home and renovation market. Customers can now visit a Clipspec consultant in a designated Beacon Lighting store and have a customised electrical and lighting plan designed for them.
The marketing alliance is a major game changer in the way Clipsal markets its products. Clipsal traditionally markets and sells through the electrical wholesaler and contractor channel. Although there will be no Clipsal sales transactions to consumers through the alliance, Clipsal is anticipating exposure to its brand and premium plate offerings. Supply channels will remain unchanged but the increased exposure will generate new demand, leads, upselling opportunities and business promotion for Clipsal’s electrical contractor customers.
“It’s very exciting for us to partner with Beacon Lighting, a great and leading name in the lighting retail industry,” says Schneider Electric Partner Business vice president David Gardner.
“We look forward to engaging new customers and creating valuable business leads for our loyal contractor base.”
The advantage to Beacon Lighting is to partner with a trusted and established name in Clipsal and to access Clipspec, one of the best specification programmes in the housing industry.
“We have known and respected the Clipsal brand for many years, and it is an excellent fit for our business,” says Beacon Lighting chief executive Ian Robinson.
“With Clipsal and Clipspec, we now have another great value add offering for our customers.”
Beacon Lighting operates more than 77 retail stores and four commercial centres throughout Australia. Thousands of customers visit a Beacon Lighting showroom each week, many who are engaged in building a new home or planning a renovation.
