Exhibitions and Trade Fairs ceases operation of The National Tradies Expo

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), has announced the decision to cease operation of The National Tradies Expo scheduled for 2013 in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

After an extensive consultation period with industry personnel and exhibition stakeholders, ETF concluded that the industry had been progressively moving towards different methods of purchasing goods and the format of an exhibition was becoming less appropriate for this industry. With the adoption of new purchasing methods, including the online space, the benefits previously drawn from attending the expo were diminishing.

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF) managing director Gary Daly says, “Making the decision to cease The National Tradies Expo was a difficult but necessary decision for the business, but now gives us the opportunity to refocus on the upcoming shows that are strong and displaying significant growth potential. These shows include Sydney’s Event Showcase, Entech, the Australian Business Events Expo, Auspack, Sydney Motorcycle Show and the Australian Construction & Equipment Expo. We are committed to growing and expanding the exhibition business to provide new levels of interaction and a host of benefits for all stakeholders, exhibitors and attendees.”
