SkillsTech students awarded
SkillsTech Australia’s electrical and refrigeration business manager Richard Auld says the event held earlier this month recognised the achievements and successes of this outstanding group of apprentices and pre-vocational students.
“It was a great night supported by a range of industry representatives, including guest speaker Darren Smith from Energex, as well as the institute’s dedicated teaching team,” Richard says.

“Mr Smith gave an inspiring speech to our apprentices about his life experiences growing up in Columbia, his move to Australia and the opportunities available due to completion of an electrical apprenticeship and an Advanced Diploma at TAFE.”
John Bernardi currently completing a Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) received the Electrical Pre-Vocational Award and expressed his gratitude for the support provided by SkillsTech Australia’s electrical teaching team and for the opportunity to fast track his training.
Mature apprentice Heath Lodder studying Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning received the 4th Year Refrigeration Apprentice Award of 2012, as well as the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration State Award for high achievement.”
