• Bricklaying teacher, Craig Clayton, who will visit colleges in the United Kingdom to investigate how they deliver bricklaying training including an e-learning tool which allows trainee bricklayers to explore and simulate construction methodologies and techniques in a digital environment before commencing work with real bricks and mortar.
The Victorian Government’s Higher Education and Skills Group (HESG) and the International Specialised Skills (ISS) Institute offered fourteen overseas Fellowships this year to staff in Victorian TAFE Institutes and other education settings.
Each Fellowship offers educators the opportunity to further their knowledge and skills in leading-edge technologies and contemporary practices overseas, while simultaneously building a cultural exchange of mutual benefit to both countries.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 29 November at the Melbourne Town Hall and will be opened by The Right Hon the Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle.
Awards will be presented by the Secretary of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Richard Bolt, and ISS Founder, Sir James Gobbo AC, CVO.
