Bright sparks spin to win for charity
The Clipsal Bright Sparks is a group of electrical contractor Club Clipsal Members and dedicated cyclists, who came together earlier this year to take part in the Scott 24-Hour Mountain Bike Race at Mount Stromlo in Canberra to raise money for the Club Clipsal charity, The E.J. Whitten Foundation.
The race is held on October 13-14, where for 24-hours, team riders take turns to ride the 16km loop tracks.

Mathew was able to put together two teams combining a total of 13 riders. Team 2 finished in second place in the corporate category – a job well done. Overall, the group raised $7,000 for The E.J. Whitten Foundation to create greater awareness of prostate cancer and raise funds for research.
“Everyone enjoyed the challenge of the ride,” Mathew says.
“It was certainly an event that will be talked about long into the future.”
