HPM Legrand opens super site
The 23,000 square metre premises showcases all products from lights and switches to sockets, cable management and home automation, as well as lighting management and power distribution and protection.
Including a 7,000 square metre manufacturing facility, the move to Prestons highlights the commitment HPM Legrand has made to ensure current manufacturing remains in Australia – and flourishes.

With around 300 employees, the new premises includes a showroom, as well as manufacturing, central warehousing, supply logistics, finance, marketing, sales, research and development, customer service and human resource departments.
The latest in lighting efficiencies has been adopted throughout the premises. This includes a Legrand lighting management system with daylight harvesting and some of the market’s most efficient lighting products.
“The decision to relocate the core business functions to one super site was in the best interests of the company,” said departing CEO Giuseppe Parola. “We believe this will place HPM Legrand in the best competitive and cost effective position to drive the company forward. The move will achieve greater synergy and more effective communication between divisions and consequently, better outcomes for the business now and in the future.”
Newly appointed Australian CEO, Tony Berland, said he was looking forward to taking the business forward and maximising opportunities now the consolidation and operational efficiencies had been set in place.
Other dignitaries who attended the official opening included Liverpool Lord Mayor, Wendy Waller, Paul Lynch, Member for Liverpool, Melanie Gibbons, Local Member for Menai and key industry and business partners.
