VELUX Australia is set to shake up the skylight industry with the April launch of the Solar Powered Skylight.

Using opening skylights for lighting and to vent rising heat as an alternative to air conditioning has been achieved for decades with VELUX skylights.

With the introduction of the Solar Powered Skylight, the same lighting and ventilation is completely off the grid while still having remote control operation and fully automated timer functions.

The environment friendly lights  work in a  power  outage and don’t require an electrician to provide power or to  install the discreet solar panel.

Similar to the electric skylights traditionally offered by VELUX, the solar powered skylight offers simple  operation with a highly sophisticated touch screen remote, rain sensors for peace of mind; an approximate 80%  block on radiant  heat; and  glass that helps keep itself clean.
